The Decision Support Systems (DSS) journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing research on theoretical and technical advancements in decision support systems. It addresses topics central to the development and application of DSS, such as foundations, functionality, interfaces, implementation, impacts, and evaluation. Articles published in DSS often draw from various disciplines, including decision theory, economics, cognitive science, mathematical modeling, operations management, psychology, and others, aiming to enhance decision-making processes.[1]


Decision Support Systems has been recognized by the Australian Council of Professors and Heads of Information Systems (ACPHIS) with an A* ranking.[2] It is also included in the “Senior Scholars’ List of Premier Journals” by the Association for Information Systems (AIS), being acknowledged as a top journal in the field of information systems since 2023.[3]

According to the Journal Citation Reports, DSS had a 2022 impact factor of 6.7, while its CiteScore is 14.7.
