Does Spinelli generally write Realist young-adult and children's novels? with modern US settings rather than historical fiction, fantasy, etc? If so then that (underscore) is worth saying in the {{infobox writer}} and something about it worth saying in prose. I don't know enough to say it.

If so then, too, he probably belongs in the general Category:American novelists (see its preface).
