The Throbblefoot spectre appears in The Object Lesson by Edward Gorey. This distraught vision seems to accept lengths of string in return for passage to a "statue of corrupted endeavour."

Throbblefoot: Who she?

The user known on Wikipedia as Throbblefoot represents a woman living in San Francisco who works as a technical writer. My interests include music (punk, funk, folk, alternative, and hip-hop), fiction, video games, etymology, urban legends, and equal rights and justice. I'm a student of Shakespeare and an ardent fan of Edward Gorey, Neal Stephenson, the Simpsons, and Bill Clinton (potentially in that order).

What Can Throbblefoot Do for Wikipedia?

As a writer and editor by trade, I'm probably best suited for cleaning up and rewriting troublesome entries (everyone wants to originate new articles, but only the truly mad want to fix their grammar). I delight in debunking (thus the interest in urban legends and folk/fake etymologies).
