Accidentally dstroying a page
[edit]Maybe you should post those things to Village Pump instead of the "Categories for Deletion" discussion page? 132.205.15.43 00:59, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)
eerste nl.wikimedia.org ontmoeting
[edit]ik zou iedereen graag willen uitnodigen te overwegen of zij een rol willen en/of kunnen spelen in de oprichting van een nederlandse wikimedia-organisatie. een eerste ontmoeting wordt momenteel georganiseerd, zie daarvoor hier, op de nl.wikimedia.org wiki. er zijn nog vele stappen te nemen, en meer wikianen nodig, om e.e.a. op verantwoorde wijze verder te ontwikkelen. RE:87.65.139.214: oops
[edit]Yes, it is much better to be logged in. For once, you would be able to track your edits. Secondly, if you decide to be an administrator in the future, only a logged in account will allow you to participate in the RfA. --Siva1979Talk to me 14:46, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Request for edit summary
[edit]When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

Interwiki order (re Scientific classification)
[edit]Hi Eras-mus - please note that interwikis are listed in alphabetical order of the name of the language, not the alphabetical order of the two-letter code. Thus e.g. es: (Español) comes before eo: (Esperanto), and ja: (Nihongo) comes after nl: (Nederlands), etc. Some others to watch for (not a full list!) include et: (Eesti), ko: (Hangugeo), he: (Ivrit), fi: (Suomi). - Thanks, MPF 10:59, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- Try here: m:List of Wikipedias, specifically m:List of Wikipedias#Active Wikipedias ordered by language code. There's also some info here: Wikipedia:Interlanguage links - hope this helps! MPF 21:11, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Category:Projects by type
[edit]Thank you for your contribution to the Category:Project management category in the past. This now links to Category:Projects by type for examples of projects in different domains. However, there is currently a Call for Deletion for this category. If you would like to contribute to the discussion, you would be very welcome. Please do this soon if possible since the discussion period is very short. Thank you for your interest if you can contribute. Regards, Jonathan Bowen 03:27, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
thank you for your contributions in turkish wikipedia!
[edit]thank you for your contribution in turkish wikipedia! you are great, really thank you!
i found some linguistic mistakes on your user page (tr:Kullanıcı:Dünya vatandaşı) i've corrected them. you can read the reasons of mistakes in the parenthesis' which typed italically)
- Adım : Pierre ("öz ad" means "self name", "adım" means "my name", "ad" means "name")
- Adres : Berchem-Sainte-Agathe veya Sint-Agatha-Berchem (Brüksel yakınında)
- Doğum yeri : Kortrijk, (Belçika) ("ikametgah" is an old usage. "brüksel yakında" means "brüksel is near". better use "brüksel yakınında" which means "near to brüksel")
- Doğum tarihi : 14 Ocak 1948
- Meslek :
- 1973-2002 : Medikal Biyoloji ("tıbbi teshrih" has no meaning. use "tıbbi biyoloji" or "medikal biyoloji")
- 2002 : Eczacı ("eczalı" has no meaning. use "Eczacı" if you're a "druggist(chemist)")
- Dil :
- Fransızca (signification (anlamı) Dünya şehirli : citoyen du monde) ++++ → Kullanıcı Wikipedia Fransız (we don't use "mana" generally. true word is "anlam (meaning)" or "anlamı (meaning of it is...)")
- Hollandaca (betekenis (anlamı) Dünya şehirli : wereldburger) ++++ → Kullanıcı Wikipedia Hollandaca
- İngilizce (meaning (anlamı) Dünya şehirli : world citizen) +++ → Kullanıcı Wikipedia İngiliz
- Almanca (+) → Kullanıcı Wikipedia Alman
- İspanyolca (+)
- Türkçe ± (sözlük ile) ("sözlük var" means the "dictionary is existing". "sözlük ile" means "with sözlük")
- Arapça ± (sözlük ile)

Ben daha önceki Kullanıcı:Dünya şehirli. (evvel is an old usage.)
Kullanıcı adımı iki sebepten dolayı değiştiriyorum: (i'm changing my user name because of two reasons)
- Mesaj: Hi, I was wondering how do you edit Turkish articles without knowing the language? Is there an easy way? :)--Eşref 13:53, 16 Nisan 2006 (UTC)
- Çevirisi » Selam! Türkçe maddeleri bu dili bilmeden nasıl değiştirdiğinizi merak ediyorum. Böyle zor olmuyor mu? :)

* Ocak 2006'dan beri Türkçe dil bilgimi geliştiriyorum.*
* Şubat 2006'dan beri yeni iş yerim , Türklerin çok olduğu bir yer olan Brüksel Schaerbeek/Schaarbeek'te.
Bu doğru eleştitiler için çok teşekkür ederim
[edit]Thank you very much for your pertinent remarks. I suppose you are someone of the Turkish wikipedia who do'nt have an user name on this wikipedia (or forgot to log on ;-) ). Most of your remarks were applied on my user page on the Turkish wikipedia.
Have a nice day.

Hi
[edit]Hi Pierre, I've noticed a mistake in the Turkish part of the welcome message you use on your Wikipedia user accounts. The correct rendering of "bienvenue", "welcome", and "welkom" in Turkish is "hoş geldiniz" ("hoş" meaning "well" and "geldiniz" meaning "you've come"), while "merhaba" just means "hi" or "hoi". If you don't mind, I'll go ahead and fix these. I'm mostly active on the English Wikipedia and a native Turkish speaker. Nice to see someone from Belgium! Kind regards, Atilim Gunes Baydin 22:18, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi Pierre, just wondering why you changed one category membership to "reptile" from "fauna?" I reverted it so the category listings would all be consistent.--RandomHumanoid(⇒) 00:12, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Another request for edit summaries
[edit]Please use them - just put "+tr" or something. It's a real pain when people don't, as their edits have to be checked. Thank you Johnbod (talk) 18:14, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Good evening, please you could translate in Dutch Lola Pagnani?
[edit]Good evening to you. Regards from Calabria! I write you regarding my friend's article. If out of politeness you could translate in Dutch her biography. In change I will help you with my Italian. They are biographer and geographer on the editions Italian, Sicilian, Neapolitan and Spanish. In attends him of one certain answer of yours I thank you in advance! Also for part of Lola!--Lodewijk Vadacchino (talk) 19:48, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Revision to Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri articles
[edit]I noticed that you have revised either Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri or Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire.
I intend to revise those articles following the Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Article guidelines. There are more details on the discussion pages of those articles. I'd be interested in any comments you have. It would be best if your comments were on the discussion pages of the two articles.
Thank you.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
