Proposed merge of Cambus into Iowa City, Iowa

[edit]

Not notable enough for its own article. The content can be expanded on the target article. ICT and Coralville Transit are redirects, the cambus should be as well. AmericanAir88(talk) 03:41, 12 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Opposed, at least partially, on the grounds that it shouldn't be merged into Iowa City because its primary service is to the University of Iowa. If there is a merger, it should be merged there. However, it's a substantial article and needs to be reduced in size and scope if it is to be retained and merged, otherwise, its focus will be outsized in any other article it is merged into. Farragutful (talk) 14:29, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose, on the grounds that University of Iowa#Campus is a better target. And I agree with Farragutful that the article should be trimmed before merging. Hog Farm (talk) 20:07, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Opposed, CAMBUS runs independently of the City of Iowa City. It is not owned by the city but rather the University of Iowa. There are times the city buses don't run but CAMBUS does and vice versa. Stops may be shared while others are for the exclusive usage of one over the other. CAMBUS stops are maintained by the university. As an employee of CAMBUS, we are not apart of the city, we don't get paid by the city, no benefits from the city, and we aren't vetted by city council. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2620:0:E50:3011:70C8:2A51:48AD:F032 (talk) 00:03, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Closing, given that there is no support for the proposal as stated, and several objections. Klbrain (talk) 16:52, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Possible plagarism for the Oakland Cemetery section?

[edit]

The "1843 Cemetery" portion of this article is word-for-word the same as the source. I'm almost certain this goes against Wikipedia's rules on plagiarism, so it needs a rewrite. Oikoopa (talk) 02:41, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
