Talk:Scuderia Ferrari
The contents of the History of Scuderia Ferrari page were merged into Scuderia Ferrari on 15 November 2020. For the contribution history and old versions of the redirected page, please see its history; for the discussion at that location, see its talk page. |
Material from Scuderia Ferrari was split to Grand Prix racing history of Scuderia Ferrari on 2 March 2021 from this version. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted so long as the latter page exists. Please leave this template in place to link the article histories and preserve this attribution. |
This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Scuderia Ferrari article. This is not a forum for general discussion of the article's subject. |

Proposed merge to/from History of Scuderia Ferrari
[edit]I propose to merge History of Scuderia Ferrari into Scuderia Ferrari. While a sub-article might be helpful, the history content is more fleshed out in the general article. If article length of the general article is an issue, then I suggest taking the existing content and moving it to the history article. Ytoyoda (talk) 14:25, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- Support. To deal with the article length I will be proposing a split of Scuderia_Ferrari#Grand_Prix_racing_and_Formula_One into another article.
SSSB (talk) 09:35, 4 February 2020 (UTC) - Comment There needs to be a look into splitting the article to make the parent article slimmer. Once an article reaches 100,000 kB a WP:SIZESPLIT is seriously in order; it's currently bordering 116,000 kB. DA1 (talk) 12:33, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- DA1, see my proposal in the thread below.
SSSB (talk) 12:39, 25 February 2020 (UTC) - No it isn't. The guideline talks about 100kB of readable prose. This article has only 68kB of that however.Tvx1 15:54, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 20:57, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
- DA1, see my proposal in the thread below.
Splitting proposal
[edit]I propose that section Scuderia Ferrari#Grand Prix racing and Formula One be split into a separate page called Grand Prix racing history of Scuderia Ferrari (or something to a similar effect). The content of the current page seems over detailed and long for an article about Scuderia Ferrari generally and this section is easily large enough to warrant its own page.
SSSB (talk) 09:39, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
- Should the word "racing" be in smalls caps? DA1 (talk) 13:03, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, just changed it, thanks.
SSSB (talk) 13:15, 25 February 2020 (UTC)- Split by Unnamelessness.

Shwartzman Test driver
[edit]In a formula1.com article (https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.next-gen-20-of-the-most-exciting-up-and-coming-talents-on-the-road-to-f1.28oQu7EJnmY3K4FlQezFC6.html) it's stated that Robert Shwartzman will be a 2022 Ferrari test driver. I could find any other information on it though. should we add it or not? ScooterAnkle (talk) 17:16, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
Proposal for editing the sportscar paragraph
[edit]Would it be possible to edit the sportscar paragraph and add the titles won by AFCorse in the GTE PRO class in the 2021 and 2022 seasons both in the manufacturer and driver's championships. I would also propose to restructure the text related to the GT competitions to follow the chronological sequence of the championship (ie FIA GT first and then WEC). This to better reflect the level of success attained by AFCorse with the support of "competizioni GT" department of Ferrari. As you know, Ferrari returned to GT competitions from the 2006 season and from then on went on to achieve an impressive sequence of successes in the major european championships for GT2/LMGTE cars (in the WEC it lost the manufacturers title only in three seasons out of 10 : 2015, 2018-19, 2019-2020). 151.68.57.69 (talk) 17:57, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Scuderia Ferrari HP
[edit]Ferrari isn't officially called Scuderia Ferrari HP yet. Why is the word HP in the infobox? Cineyas (talk) 10:06, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- The name "Scuderia Ferrari HP" is in Ferrari's social media pages and on their website so it is official. Jbvann05 22:02, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
