Channel Ten series

[edit]

Channel Ten is about to broadcast the first episode of the new series - but much of the introduction only seems to apply to the Channel Seven series! 210.50.25.132 10:29, 25 September 2005 (UTC) [signature added later - I forgot to log in before: Brian Jason Drake 13:38, 19 October 2005 (UTC)][reply]

This article doesn't even seem to be about the Kids version anymore. Or at least a large chunk is now just on the series of specials. RandomEcho 02:05, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tense change

I've changed the tense from past to present.

Normal TV classification

[edit]

The article says that Australia's Brainiest Comedian was PG, and used to say it was the only episode that was given such a rating. What classification are episodes of Australia's Brainiest normally given, and what was Australia's Brainiest Kid? --JD don't talk email me 22:14, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The usual classification is G (General audiences) seeing as the series does not contain any violence, themes, sex, or coarse language, however a couple of other PG rated episodes have aired in the last couple of weeks. Brainiest Comedian 2 and Brainiest BB06 Housemate were also issued a PG rating although the network hadn't disclosed an advisory warning beforehand. I don't see any reason why these episodes were classified PG. Bearing in mind though that some TV shows are simply classified more strictly because the classification board doesn't want to bother with being specific, and randomly issues TV shows higher classifications than what is necessary. For instance, The O.C. was classified M consistently throughout the first two seasons, often without any reason whatsoever (many episodes were in fact PG rated on the DVD releases). It wasn't until the third season though when the network decided to classify episodes more specifically (using both PG and M classifications whenever necessary). Australia's Brainiest Kid Contestants - Season One

[edit]

I've inserted a setion for contribution of the names of contestants, however, i only remember one! Could other users please contribute?Matamua 01:31, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think this section should be removed as these people are minors and have not had consent to have their names published without their knowledge. I don't really want my name up there. Evildoctorcow 07:15, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies - I will edit immediately - I hadn't thought of this point - I hope this hasn't caused any major distress. Matamua 12:36, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do we really need consent to publish their names (they did go on national TV)? Do we have consent to publish the winners' names? Brian Jason Drake 09:18, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They did go on national TV - all finalists were shown in the TV series. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.45.54.121 (talk) 12:33, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
