Talk:Super Chief/to do

I'd like to suggest an edit to the caption in the "Super Chief" article that shows a Diesel locomotive hanging over a retaining wall at Los Angeles Union Station in 1948. The train in question is not the Super Chief, but the El Capitan. At that time, the Super Chief and El Capitan streamliners were operating every-other-day-- on the same identical schedule, but on alternating days. The Super Chief departed each endpoint (and arrived at the opposite endpoint) on even-numbered days of the month, while the El Capitan departed (and arrived) on odd-numbered days of the month. Since this photo was snapped on January 25th (an odd-numbered day), the train in question is the El Capitan, not the Super Chief. In fact, perhaps this photo should be moved from the Super Chief article to the El Capitan article?

The reference below is from a Santa Fe Railway public timetable dated January 1947. The Super Chief is Train 17 (westbound) and 18 (eastbound), while the El Capitan is Trains 21 and 22. There is a marginal note in the columns for these trains, explaining this arrangement.
