You're doing a great job! It's always good to start small at Wikipedia -- it keeps you from developing a small mind, like some of our . . . more vocal contributors (re:edit wars). DavidA 1705 UTC, 5 Apr 2004

Thanks for the kind words. I thought it would be wise to start small to get a hang of editing articles. Even if I never move up to contributing large sections of new information, I'll continue to help in small ways (thanks to all my grammar, punctuation, and layout pet peeves). I tend to have an copyediting mindset and what better thing to do in such a situation than come to a site like this? -- Jrdioko 17:40, Apr 5, 2004 (UTC)

Just thought I'd say you're doing a great job disambiguating pages. Edits such as these keep Wikipedia running smoothly.

(Incidentally, are you sure about the "new entries at the top" request? Standard Post a comment — found at the sidebar to the left — will place comments at the bottom of the page, which might cause confusion.) -- Itai 01:57, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)

I've posted all my comments to Talk pages and such at the bottom, but for some reason didn't think about that convention here. It's changed, and I'll move these posts so they are in order. Thanks! -- Jrdioko 02:14, Apr 7, 2004 (UTC)

Is there a page of things like stub messages that one can just quick cut and paste from? i havn't found it thus far. Thanks, by the way. Star_controller User talk:Star_controller 13:34 5 November 2024

Check your own talk page for my response. Thanks! -- Jrdioko 02:45, Apr 7, 2004 (UTC)

I like your work and would like to nominate you to be an admin. Danny 03:40, 10 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the nomination, but I have to decline at this point. It would be setting a precedent to accept someone who has only been around for a couple of weeks and, to be fair to the community, I'd like to make sure I am completely familiar with the system before being put in that position. However, I appreciate your early trust and would be happy to accept a nomination in a month or two. --Jrdioko 04:10, Apr 10, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome (or was that some sort of welcome bot? If it was, well, then this is really a thanks bot!) ThreeTrees 05:45, 10 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Well, this is a your welcome bot responding to your thanks bot's reply to my welcome bot :-). Actually, I've created a boilerplate message with the welcome text so I only have to type one line and that is all pasted in the edit box automatically. However, I do manually navigate to users' talk pages to type that in. What good would a welcome be if it was by a bot? Thanks for your response and, once again, have fun with Wikipedia! -- Jrdioko 05:56, Apr 10, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the introduction, though all I have done so far is ask an adovocate to watch out for some information that was intended to help people find better ways to resolve conflict. Maybe you could help out. I am watching this page [1] to make sure the comments last entered by Humble Servant at the bottom of this old version are not again removed: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=Wikipedia_talk:Three_strikes_you%27re_out_policy&oldid=3140602

It befuddles me why people are so quick to delete information intended to improve human relations, but groups like this attract all sorts who have various notions about what is good and proper. Apparently somebody claimed the original author was too much of a stranger to be welcome, and complained that the original author's username violated some bureaucratic standard. Where I come from, we assess written works on thier own merits, and not on the reputaiton of writers. Anyway, thanks for the greeting... Doorman 22:55, 10 Apr 2004 (UTC)

thank you for the welcome. i had wondered where i should make introductions. Badanedwa 21:38, 11 Apr 2004 (UTC)
