I tried to write a stub for self-energy, but came up short. It and its variant self energy are linked to by four articles, all written by either Rudchenko or 194.44.210.6 (who are actually the same person):

• Quantization of the pionic interaction
• Nonlinear magnetic field
• W-field
• Extended Yukawa potential

All had no other substantive edits by anybody else, so it seems unlikely that somebody could come forward and explain what self-energy means. In fact, the validity of these articles has actually been put in question; see here and here.

Furthermore, Rudchenko is obviously not fluent in English, so one may wonder if self-energy (or self energy) is indeed an appropriate term.

I therefore claim that this redirect serves no useful purpose, and makes an unfounded assumption on the spelling of a dubious word, which should warrant its deletion.
