Militant?
[edit]why is it "militant" ??
- That's the name of the party. --Sesel 21:24, 8 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- yes but how are they militant
- They aren't. That's just their name. --Sesel 16:57, 19 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Sesel, I am going to edit much part of this article as it is only partly true. The name is the Mauritian Militant Movement, which is basically their name and slogan. The name militant is reffered to the members and activists of the party as the members of the Mauritian Labour Party are known as the Labourites and the Militant Socialist Movement's members are known as the Socialists. It is names attributed to understand someone's position in the political likeness of the individual. A simple examples is people who prefer the Replubican Party are known as the Republicans.
- What I meant was that the MMM has nothing do to with terrorism or guerrilla warfare, which is how the word "militant" is often used now. —Sesel (talk) 01:14, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
