Chris Fehn

[edit]

Chris Fehn should be removed from the list of active band members as he is confirmed to not be with them anymore by Slipknot.

Change name of "Founding Member" Anders Colsefni to Nathan Jonas "Joey" Jordison because Joey Jordison co-founded Slipknot, not Colsefni. AmarJC2008 (talk) 03:48, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Colsefni was there in the earliest days when they wrote the song "Slipknot". He is a founding member. Binksternet (talk) 04:28, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Add Eloy Casagrande

[edit]

Add Eloy Casagrande as current touring drummer, confirmed by their show on 4/26/24. 2606:8E80:5008:4C00:C872:CD94:5AD1:36EB (talk) 18:38, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@2606:8E80:5008:4C00:C872:CD94:5AD1:36EB: You need a reliable source for this or it's not getting added. Confirmation at a show or social media is not a source. Wikipedia goes by what sources like Loudwire or Metal Hammer say for example. Bowling is life (talk) 20:29, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Tattoos on right arm are the same. It’s 100% Eloy Casagrande.

Those are not good sources. Reddit? Seriously? We need articles from reliable publications. Bowling is life (talk) 11:13, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It’s a photo of the drummer, doesn’t matter where it comes from. Insomniacsdream (talk) 15:36, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are there any articles confirming he is the new drummer? Neither of the sources you added are acceptable sources according to Wikipedia guidelines. No speculation or rumors, actual confirmation by reliable sources is what we need. Bowling is life (talk) 15:56, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Eloy Casagrande joined Slipknot since I need to make the quick change JoshArcilla716 (talk) 18:37, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Don't ignore the message on the page. Don't add any new member until there is an official confirmation. Seelentau (talk) 18:42, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Jamedeus (talk) 18:49, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are lot of sources that proove that. Just check the internet. Loyal to Metal (talk) 21:47, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Eloy Casagrande, the former drummer of Sepultura has been officially revealed as the touring drummer for Slipknot on their latest post on Instagram @slipknot as of 4/29/2024 at around 7 pm pst. Crumdies (talk) 02:17, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. We should wait for WP:SECONDARY sources to comment. Binksternet (talk) 03:41, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What? Why not? Last I checked, a band's official social media was considered acceptable sourcing as long as the writing specified such a case. Obviously it could be replaced by better sources later. mftp dan oops 03:55, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Technically they are a groove metal band so they can add to "extreme metal" bands as I published in the list of extreme metal bands Thanks! :D

Unrevealed member named in Billboard Brasil's Slipknot issue

[edit]

So, I was notified that the unrevealed member (samples/media) was named as Jeff Karnowski in the Slipknot issue of Billboard Brasil, released some days ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sk6aKG-tBhs?t=35 - what do we do with this information, if anything? Also note how, somewhat ironically, the other once-disputed member is called by a somewhat made-up nickname "The Tortilla", despite his identity having actually been officially revealed. Hello, I want to edit the "touring members" section to add the "name" of the possible sampler being ex-Dirty Little Rabbits bassist Jeff Karnowski due to the metadata in the promotional material for the 25th anniversary of the self-titled debut, if I'm wrong please let me know and correct me. Regards - Bonechurch. Bonechurch515 (talk) 18:41, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Declined - I stopped reading at "possible", please provide a better source. mftp dan oops 18:44, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
