I noticed you added the ps2 logo to the userbox. While I agree that it looks better and should be allowed, some editor is going to come along and revert this soon crying out fair use. Just so you know.--God of War 15:36, 7 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Canada

[edit]

Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there!--DarkEvil 17:11, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Child's Play Logo.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Child's Play Logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:14, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your changes to West African Giraffe

[edit]

Please note: "Nigerien" refers to the West African nation of Niger. In changing this to "Nigerian" you have changed the meaning to refer to Niger's neighbor to the south Nigeria. I have fixed your changes. Thank you T L Miles (talk) 13:46, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously: you're in very good company. I'm sorry if the above came across as short: I have a boilerplate I paste in such situations. It's very obscure, especially as it's French derived, but the French pronunciation of the makes a much larger distinction between the two words (-"aine" vs -"en") than in English. Nigerians tend to say "of the Republic of Niger" or some such. If I had a $ every time I changed this on Wikipedia, I wouldn't be at work right now! T L Miles (talk) 15:43, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Standardizing "Part m"

[edit]

I have reverted your edit here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_My_Little_Pony%3A_Friendship_Is_Magic_episodes&diff=517324183&oldid=517323290 Because the episode titles for those two-parters are displayed on screen differently in each pair. http://mlp.wikia.com/wiki/Episodes The pilot is ", part M" (comma/space/lowercase), The Return of Harmony is " Part M" (no comma/space/uppercase), and A Canterlot Wedding is " - Part M" (no comma/space/hyphen/space/uppercase). The Crystal Empire will probably be " - Part M" too, but so far, the DVD teaser summary has given it as ", Part M" (comma/space/uppercase). dogman15 (talk) 06:50, 12 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
