Fair use rationale for Image:中南海01.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:中南海01.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Butseriouslyfolks 09:18, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Словио, by Amire80 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Словио is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Словио, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 08:51, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Ottoman Wiki
[edit]Hello Fox Mccloud
As you know Ottoman test Wiki started 14 months ago. There are 1300 articles. [1] But subcommittee don't want to conditional approval Ottoman Wiki. They want to Reject Ottoman Wiki. You can see their idea here [2] So They changed to Language proposal policy 1 months ago. [3] But Ottoman test Wiki started 14 months ago. This is very big unfairness, wrong, injustice. My English language isn't good. Could you help to us about the subject. What can we do in this case ---- Tarih (talk) 21:13, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hi,
I recently updated this image in en:wiki, and find s.o. has already requested that change in Commons. However, I have no idea how to update an image in Commons. All I see is "Upload", and the last time I tried that it deleted the existing page history.
Could you point me to an explanation of how to do this?
Thanks, kwami (talk) 20:07, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and Greetings. I saw your edit to the talk page of Sakha language and I'm learning that language and I'd like to say that I'd support the creation of Sakha or Yakutian language Wikipedia. Cheers. RoyalMate1 03:58, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
