Travelyn is the nickname for me, James Paul Gravelyn. I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, on February 8, 1954. I graduated from Grand Rapids Central High School in June of 1972, and the University of Michigan (BBA) in May of 1976. I immediately passed the Michigan Certified Public Accountant exam and started a career in accounting.

I am currently married to the former Glenda Fay Purcell, born in Reidsville, North Carolina, USA, on September 16, 1952.

Between the two of us we have six children and nine grandchildren. Above you see me with my two daughters, Casey Lee and Samantha Mae, in the fall of 2002, when they were 20 and 17 years old.
